Apple has just announced the new iPhone, it is harder, better, faster and stronger phone, now supports 3G networks. Not only that it is better than the first-gen iPhone, it is also cheaper-retailing only at $199 for the 8GB version and $299 for the 16GB. These prices are valid worldwide and are subject to 24-month or 18-month contract with the carrier plus there’s the in-store activation.
The new iPhone 3G has the usual 3.5-inch display (480 x 320 pixels), and comes with 2 megapixel camera but has grown around 1mm in width, length and thickness, and supports geo-tagging. It comes with a built-in GPS that can be utilized for location-based services and applications. Its tri-band HSDPA support will allow faster data transfers than EDGE. The downside are-there is no secondary camera for making video call and no memory slot.
The new iPhone 3G will be in stores on July 11, 2008.
